Scott Tracy
Yesterday a friend of ours arrived in Korat. Today she picked up the body of her dead son. A guard in one of the armouries. It's hard to write, but a son of a friend is dead, doing his duty.
Oziex1
I have no military background but would have thought that where they store weapons and ammunition would be the most secure place on any military base. Perhaps discipline is not a big issue when your purpose is to sweep the generals driveway and mow the lawn.

Living with them, cooking, cleaning the house, arguing with them daily when they both said he hadn't fed them, even though they had a meal less than an hour before. It drove him crazy. What were they thinking? They don't seem to believe that a deranged Thai might try to get weapons or soldiers might want to try to sell them for profit. Thai don't -can't- hurt Thai, only foreigners are capable of that... So simple padlocks on armouries was sufficient protection, Apirat promised us in early january that all army weapons were kept save... It's the same reason they acquitted that policeman that killed 81 people in 1972, a Thai wouldn't do such a thing apparently... (which would make then not human, since sadly we have mentally deranged people amongst us):
