The board of State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has considered a proposal that area management of the Bang Sue Central Station should come under a single contract, instead of splitting into several deals, said acting governor Worawut Mala today (February 13).

The station, currently under the construction, will replace Hua Lamphong as the Bangkok's main rail transport hub.

Under the existing plan, the bid to manage the areas will be divided into four contracts.

They are a five-year contract on managing internal area of the station, a five-year contract on a car parking zone, a ten-year contract on the commercial areas inside and outside the station, and a contract for managing advertising space inside the station.

The board believes that a major contract would look more attractive to potential bidders, he added.

Only to the conglomerates.

So much for the government's support for SME's.

Same applies to the rail infrastructure projects.
