Anybody on here know anything about this bird?

It spends most of the day tapping on our window where it can obviously see its reflection.

It looks just like a sparrow but it has a yellow/greenish tinge.

Informed replies would be much appreciated.

I've also seen one attacking car mirrors. They must lead very confusing lives.

The female (no pic) "Does not have the brown under chin" rather like ordinary sparrows.
