PM Prayut to hand financial assistance to people affected by Korat attack

 

   

BANGKOK(NNT) - Representatives of the Ministry of Finance and state-owned banks, have brought 12 million baht in donation to Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha. The donated money went to the Prime Minister’s Office Disaster Relief Fund to help those affected by the mass shooting on February 8 and 9, 2020, in Nakhon Ratchasima province.

 

The government’s financial assistance for the injured and the families of those killed, has been transferred to Nakhon Ratchasima province. The Prime Minister will present the financial assistance to the victims on February 19.

 

The Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office, Teerapat Prayoonsit, said today that Gen. Prayut will distribute the financial aid to 27 people who are family members of those killed and 57 injured people. Mr. Teerapat said officials are checking the information of victims involved in the attack.

 

Public donations for the families of victims of the mass shooting at the Terminal 21 shopping mall in Nakhon Ratchasima province closed on February 16. Total donations have topped 82 million baht, with 29 million baht having been given to those affected. The government resolved to increase payments to four injured victims who are still being treated in an intensive care unit (ICU). Three of them are likely to be permanently disabled. They will receive an additional 1.5 million baht. Another injured victim, who is expected to be treated for at least six months, will receive an additional 1 million baht.

 

On February 21 at Terminal 21, the provincial administration, on behalf of the injured and the families of those killed, will host an event to thank all parties involved in providing assistance. Honorary certificates will be given to good Samaritans on this occasion.

In this case, misfortune which he himself had a hand in creating (remember he was head honcho of the Army before turfing out the elected government in 2014 and is not therefore immune to the results of the excesses of that same Army now).

So he is going to be handing out donations made by the general public, big of him ! 

Public donations, yet little P cannot resist sticking his nose in.

Absolutely nothing to do with him, but just wants people to think he is behind it.... Sickening that he is trying to gain support out of this tragedy.

And the amount given to foreigners murdered or hurt by Thais will be ? Oh, that's right, bunch of flowers, fruit basket, a group photo and a hospital bill

Is he going to spread the Wu-Flu by touching the novelty cheque with his dirty hands ?

Oh the guy is just full of love. Not!

 

It is because he is up to be investigated for grand standing when he went there.

Maybe the Korat victims' families would get more if he didn't waste so much tax payers' money on private jets with superfluous entourages. 

 

Not really a suitable picture considering this isn't about him - it's about the poor people who lost loved ones under his tenure.

If I were a Thai, I'd be embarrassed to have this guy representing me, but hey, their choice I suppose...

OMG, nobody is wearing a mask! They should be expelled immediately! 

 

The horrendous air pollution in Korat that he ignores kills far more per year. What's he doing about that? Perhaps someone might have noticed all the fires burning as they were flying in on their super VIP private jet? ???? Keep up the good work, Mr. General.????

Money siphoned off the Thai people anyway 

12 million baht from taxpayers like me is a huge sum for these poor people who've lost their loved ones.

 

   And his nose got longer and longer.....

Never one to miss a photo op, the Prime Minister is there as usual, after the fact.

I hope he spoke of the army reform that is taking place to help avoid copy cat incidents.
