webfact Posted February 20, 2020 Share Posted February 20, 2020 Lopburi gold heist suspect faces nine charges By The Nation The man suspected of killing three people in the Lop Buri gold heist case faces nine criminal charges, Prayut Petchkhun, deputy spokesman for the attorney-general and Special Attorney for Criminal Case 3, said on Thursday (Feb 20). Prayut said investigation of the case had been completed. Prasittichai Khaokaew, the director of a school in Singburi province, allegedly shot dead three people, including a child, while robbing a gold shop in Lop Buri province. Among the nine charges Prasittichai faces are: stealing using weapons and vehicles causing others to die or get seriously harmed; possessing firearms and bullets without permission; using unregistered firearms. The prosecutor has strongly opposed bail for the suspect and calls for a speedy trial since the case was of great interest to society. Peterw42 Posted February 20, 2020 Share Posted February 20, 2020 Seems odd that that dont mention charging the guy with murder, man slaughter, assault with a deadly weapon etc etc. Stealing a vehicle and possession of bullets, surprised they havnt put illegal parking and bad driving on the list. But he’ll probably get a life sentence and released in 2 years to kill again. That’s how the <deleted> up legal system works here and In most other countries.
