Ekkapob Pianpises, ex-spokesman of the now-dissolved Future Forward Party and Chiang Rai MP, accused the government during a parliamentary censure debate of six wrongdoings.

 

1. Longan problem: Longan export prices have increased steadily to Bt35 per kg, but the price of longan for Thai farmers was reduced to Bt13 per kg because Chinese capitalists who dominate the market forced the price down, Ekkapob claimed. The problem was not just with longan prices but also with those of pineapples, durian and mangosteen, he said. He believes Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha knows about this but does not dare do anything.

 

2. Real estate market problems, especially condominiums: Ekkapob claimed Chinese capitalists have increased their market share by 7 per cent, with the condominium price index jumping 17 per cent due to these capitalists creating artificial demand. They also rented out to Thai and Chinese, meaning that the money earned for accommodating Chinese tourists returned to Chinese hands. So, small and medium-sized hotels have witnessed reduced revenue, he said.

 

3. High-speed train project: Ekkapob alleged that the Thai government signed a MOU with China without a committee first studying the details while also accepting the objectives of the project to strengthen Thai-Chinese relations. Infrastructure for the project is worth more than Bt200 billion. Later, when the study found the project was not worth it, he claimed, the government changed the specification from a high-speed train to a double-track railway. “The construction of the double railroad tracks increases the ability of travellers and the public to access them, but China is not happy, so General Prayut had to fly to China in March 2016 to negotiate,” he alleged, claiming that the project also changed from a joint venture to private investment that borrows money from China, with the first 3.5 kilometres of double-track for electric trains being built to preserve the project.

 

4. Thai state “protects” Chinese online trading companies: Ekkapob claimed that Chinese warehouses in Thailand have been granted a 14-day warehouse tax exemption, but small Thai capitalists who bring products into Thailand must pay container tax immediately upon entering the country, while no tax is collected from Chinese capitalists until goods are bought. Alibaba receives this privilege, putting Thai online companies at a disadvantage and unable to compete, he alleged.

 

5. Coronavirus: Ekkapob claimed the government was late in bringing home Thais from Wuhan, the epicentre of the Covid-19 outbreak, while there was no suspension of visas on arrival for Chinese.

 

6. Mekong River: The management of the Mekong River, where China has constructed a large dam which is affecting survival of the Mekong downstream has resulted in a severe drought in Thailand, Ekkapob said. He hoped the Thai government would open negotiations with Beijing to tackle the problem. In response, Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai said the government had already talked with China as a partner country about the drought and China has released more water to help Thailand since January 24.

If there is nobody publishing the consequences of the government's wrongdoings , it will only become worse .

I find it courageous on his part to say aloud what many here think in a low voice.
We have known for a long time that Thailand is subservient to China and that in a few years it will be at the same point as Laos and Cambodia which are almost Chinese provinces.

This guy has iron testicles.

 

Chapeau, like we say in french.

 

The "switch" toward China... is a big event from a geopolitical point of view.

 

And it could well be the begining of the end for the junta, euh... sorry... the elected thai governement. ????

 

It's counterintuitive... But USA and China are at war. It's impossible to question this fact. A 360 ° war.

 

And Thailand could become an easy... a very easy target for USA for "destabilization" in order to weaken China.

 

Why easy ?

 

Because half the "work" is done ! More than half of the thai population despises, hates the gangs of the "uniforms" and their fanatical behavior (leaving absolutly no space for the slightest opposition, real opposition, to thrive or just live).

 

Military coup. Not enough ? Dissolve opposition party ! Ban their leaders.

 

I mean... what's next ? Death camps for opponents ?

 

Hence, the thai-chinese link... is the weak link.

 

Just look at... Burma. For years, Western countries have supported the opposition... After that, China just bought out the country, literally. Burma became a simple "backyard" for China (like Laos and Cambodia).

 

And then... boum... enters the "Rohingyas" crisis (this problem... is nothing but new !) Massacres ? Burma's modern history is nothing but massacres, repression, conflicts, ethnic conflicts, etc...

 

And suddenly all the "mainstream" western medias talk about it, all the time...

 

Coincidence ? 

 

Of course not. It's an american psyop operation in order to destabilize the country, and attack indirectly China's interests.

 

The idea that USA really care about those poor muslim wretches is of course laughable.

 

For that matter, I'd be in Hun Sen's shoes... I would start to sweat a little bit.

 

Cambodia is now... a colony. Again. Nothing more, nothing less. It belongs to China.

 

And the last 20 years (but we could go back way before).... are the absolute proof of US deep state's recklesness (Middle-East, Afghanistan, North Korea etc.).

 

Those guys, like pitbulls, never let their preys in peace.

 

They entertain the sheeps with an "elected president" who changes every 4 years ("oh Obama ! The Black Jesus ! Oh the Orange Man !").... but behind they follow their plan, without any fear, and with striking endurance and long term planification.

Too bad these points were not used during the election or soon after.   Even with the redrawn lines, the junta barely "won" the  election.    WW2, Thailand sided with the Japanese empire, Vietnam, the Americans and now their bread is better buttered in China.  Fair weather friends is a fitting name.

Why accuse now? Why not before . He will get his butt kicked if he Can't come up with some Hard evidence .  ????

His a short little criminal with no care for Thailand. His day will come.

Glad he brought it up and out, but he needs to keep pushing it even disregarding his well being. Surely there has to be some kick backs to come in under the table in stealth mode sometime to someone. Here there is nothing ever done for free as it always has a disguise.

Thailand is pretty much a vassal state of China.

 

Is anyone really shocked by this?

 

 

And undoubtedly many, many more. Chinese are buying whatever they can, including the junta.

All of these subjects are credible when dealing with China, our infamous Prime Minister of Australia John Howard did a trade deal with China and small business collapsed overnight with cheap imports, and the buying of houses, land and business in Oz by the Chinese doesn't settle with anyone except the government, however, is their any other country want to invest in Thailand, China will hammer at every opportunity, once they have a foot hold they then undermine and interfere in the governance of the country.
