Bella Tadlock, from Florida, raised almost $14,000 (£11,000) for her bionic “Hero Arm”, created by Bristol-based company Open Bionics, which aims to "turn disabilities into superpowers". The school girl’s fundraiser caught the eye of Star Wars actor Mark Hamill in November when he retweeted her appeal to his 3.6 million followers. I was thinking more of the shape... with R2D2, her hands would be gorilla like, dragging along the floor ???? c3po did have a retrofit silver leg... so he 'was' open for change ????

AgMech Cowboy
Hum... Off topic again (above post). That's really great what technology is able to do by giving abilities to people how have lost or been born without arms or hands.
timendres
This is really great, especially for kids. It is so bad for a kid to be missing a limb, but now it can have a "cool" factor.
