Israel's Ben-Gvir Plans To Remove All Palestinians From Gaza

Featured Replies

Israel’s far-right national security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, has outlined a plan to expel all Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and send them abroad, as campaigning ramps up ahead of elections in Israel.

Ben-Gvir’s Gaza Emigration Proposal

Ben-Gvir said the proposal, developed through his party, Jewish Power, would start by removing 250,000 Palestinians from Gaza in its first year. He added that the remaining population of about 2 million would be sent away over the following six years.

Speaking in the run-up to the tightly fought vote, Ben-Gvir described the idea as “realistic”, saying there were countries that were ready to take in Palestinians from Gaza, without identifying them.

His plan is set out in a 20-page document titled “National Work Plan for Voluntary Emigration from the Gaza Strip”. Despite the wording, Ben-Gvir’s stated objective is to remove Gaza’s Palestinian population, and the coercive nature of any such plan would be a key concern for the international community given the conditions in the territory and the minister’s explicit intent.

Under international law, the forced displacement of civilians in occupied territory is considered a war crime under the Geneva Conventions.

Reactions And Us Administration Ceasefire Talks

Ben-Gvir’s comments came as Israel’s political debate over Gaza has grown more aggressive, with Israeli leaders rejecting a ceasefire initiative sought by US President Donald Trump amid continued Israeli attacks.

Ben-Gvir said Jewish Power would press for a “ministry in charge of emigration” if it enters government, calling the plan “concrete”.

Earlier this year, an independent UN inquiry said Israel was committing genocide by deliberately targeting Palestinian children in Gaza.

The minister’s remarks also followed comments by Israel’s defence minister, Israel Katz, who said Israel was seeking US approval to displace Palestinians from Gaza. Katz said any such step was still under discussion after Trump had “frozen” it.

At the start of his second term, Trump faced widespread international condemnation after suggesting that all 2 million Palestinians leave Gaza and that the US redevelop the territory. Trump later walked back the proposal.

Netanyahu Says Israel Will Not Withdraw

With elections scheduled for October, Ben-Gvir has made a series of inflammatory interventions aimed at his far-right base. These have included posting footage showing Palestinians convicted of lethal attacks by Israeli military courts being due to be executed, while also drawing attention to the absence of comparable actions for Jewish extremists accused of similar crimes. He has also shared videos about mistreatment of Palestinian prisoners held by Israeli authorities.

Polling has suggested Jewish Power would win about seven seats.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited a military outpost in Gaza to say Israel would not withdraw from areas it occupies. He said Israel would remain on its current line, adding that it was “eliminating the terrorists” and doing so “day in and day out”.

Israel’s deputy chief of general staff, Maj Gen Tamir Yadai, said Israel now controls 65% of Gaza. The figure is higher than 53% agreed under a ceasefire brokered last year by Trump.

Separately, Ben-Gvir has called for the deportation of two Members of Knesset and others, describing them as “disloyal to the state of Israel”, including Jews, and said he would push for such a policy if he is included in the next government.

You are no better than Adolf Hitler.

Are you aware you are talking about crimes against humanity?

Even advocating that in the UK could see you interviewed by the police.

I doubt they'll execute Ben-Gvir and Netanyahu, but they should certainly spend the rest of their lives in jail.

There have never been any countries willing to take them in, so this is just nasty electoral rage baiting to stir up his supporters.

Expulsion of the Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank has been the objective from the get-go.

The most amazing fact is that a Jew/zionist goes straight according his predecessor Hitler, described everything written in "Mein Kampf".

Just change Jews vs Palestinians

This will never happen.
The rantings of Gvir are not representative of the vast majority of Israelis.
Hopefully, Israel will have a decent government after the elections.

He makes these statements precisely because they ARE representative of the majority of Israelis in the expectation of garnering votes.

Ben-Gvir is a disciple of Meir Kahane, a man convicted of terrorism in the US. Ben-Gvir is obviously mentally ill and in any normal country would sit in a prison cell.

It is not surprising that Ben-Gvir comes out with this stuff, as he is merely out for shock-jock notoriety.

He is also a settler and very obviously has mental problems.

Yes, seems suspicious. No countries are named.

But also, if there were agreements made with other countries, wouldn't it have been televised and received publicity?

Wouldn't Israel want to show the world how other countries welcome Palestinians with open arms and use media to generate interest in the project?

Makes no sense to me.

Genocide will be a better term.

Agreed, his constituency. Much like the trump constituency in the USA. Two points ... First, both are minorities. Second, history has taught us to beware vocal, organized minorities for they have, in fact gained control over the majorities.

This is just about Gaza though , Palestinians aren't being expelled from Judea , but this has set a precedent .

The penalty for committing atrocities is execution or expulsion

Arent they experiencing genocide already in Gaza ?

This will be an escape from the terrible genocide in gaza .

I am rather surprised that Gretas gang oppose Palestians being given a route to safety

No one complains about what is going on in Burma or what the Chinese have been doing to muslims there for ages.

The only way the muslims in Gaza can live a safe, normal life is to reside in a different country. Hamas will never let Gazan

muslims rest and no work either.

Whataboutism.

Which makes a change from the usual deny, deflect, accuse anti-semitism.

Link doesn't work, but putting that into a websearch brings up these results

Claims suggesting that Israel created the European refugee crisis typically originate from political commentary and activist critiques that attribute broader Middle Eastern instability to Israeli foreign and regional policies. [1]

However, mainstream historical data and international organizations attribute the modern European refugee crisis—peaking significantly in 2015—to entirely different primary drivers

The overwhelming majority of refugees arriving at Europe's borders originate from non-neighbouring conflict zones in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and parts of East Africa, driven by localized civil wars and persecution rather than Israeli actions
