Netizens unhappy as EC awarded pay hike

Election Commission (EC) staff will enjoy a hike in salary effective from March 1, according to an announcement in the Royal Gazette on March 7.

The document was officially signed on February 25.

The regulation stipulates that the salaries will be changed according to the positions in the EC. The regulation will cover the salaries of both EC officers and employees.

The pay hike has antagonised Thai netizens who are asking what is the EC's achievement to deserve a raise in salary, and their accusations against the Future Forward Party, which led to the larty's dissolution, had only generated resentment among several Thais.

The gov't., lives in it's on immoral white knight bubble and can't see outside, they reward the people who keep them well in their bubble.

Outside is just the rif raf who should be thankful and be ignored.

Probably one of Prayut's promises to them, for rigging the election, and getting rid of a serious challenge to his power.

Well deserved pay rise, at the right time, for those hard working diligent EC employees,

who followed the rules set Down by the Morally corrupt.

Well chaps, heres a pay rise help you keep doing things my way, said Prayut.

A pay raise and I suspect a nice brown envelope for their decision last month. We all know who ordered the decision and we know that person certainly isn't short on cash.

To say they have a little leverage over the Govt would be an understatement.

Shameless. A more worthless set of people, it would be difficult to imagine.

Payoff completed, next phase, release the hounds and eliminate any future contenders, like a close sister country has done.....

That's not a pay rise, its Blood Money, for their deceitful corruption and obeying the Generals.

Bonus for getting rid of Thanathorn.

Its the junta.  Its both.   They don't care how it looks.   It is galling beyond belief, but most Thais are scared to death of politics are complaining about the army.

They are probably the ones surveyed about giving 2000 to the poor , if give the poor will there be enough for them and then the poor might not want to do the <deleted> and low paid work for them

I think we know this is the reason why they got their pay raise. Such a shame

So  the netizens are only unhappy, makes a change ,from, frothing, outraged and disgusted.
