71.2% of respondents, to a Super Poll opinion survey, disagree with the Government’s plan to give two 1,000 baht monthly cash handouts to low income earners, as part of the new economic stimulus package aimed at cushioning the impact of the economic crunch and the COVID-19 threat.

The poll results also show that 91.7% want returnees from high-risk countries to be quarantined for up to 27 days, instead of 14 days, and that the Government and Thai embassies, in countries with widespread COVID-19 infections, should stop issuing entry visas to people. Super Poll surveyed 1,129 people, representing all occupations across the country, between March 5th and 7th regarding COVID-19.

Super Poll director Noppadol Kannikar said today that 75.2% of the respondents were concerned that people coming to Thailand from the high-risk countries, both infected and not infected, might lack social responsibility and spread the disease, while 64.3% were afraid that these arrivals might not tell the truth about their health.

From a country where 70 or 80 high risk returnees from  Korea have just done one because they can't be arsed.....

Scary as <deleted> but no surprise really!

Seriously ? A superpoll that is 0.000017 of the population ? I'd hate to see a story based on a  small one

They're tired of having scraps from the masters table thrown at them... they want to be at the same table!

maybe people with debts, the  2000 baht should go automatically in repayments

I think the government is definitely clueless TIT

They not want give the poor ,they want for themselves , should help the poor  regardless of age but they ask government workers their opinion

Instead of giving money the government should be stepping up infrustructure and  getting Thais Jobs in doing so Giving money only helps a bit A job is much better I was thinking there could be some vacancies  for crew members for those subs they have just bought  600 jobs there i guess and 1 Admiral

The Pattaya government spends 37 million baht to make that buoy thing on the beach, but only wants to hand out 1,000 baht to each person?

Governments hand out money does not stimulate the economy.  If a government want to help, the get out of the way and let the markets function.

Consumption does not help an economy, production does
