Hua Hin City win SPS Mini League VIII

 

 

The SPS Mini League VIII took place at Midfield Soccer in Bofai last Sunday. Hosts Hua Hin City emerges as champions but it was a closely contested tournament with three teams in contention going into the last two games.

 

Newcomers Nong Hoi suffered a 1-0 defeat to Black Mountain in the opening match and this set the tone for things to come. SS played out goalless draws with both Hua Hin City and Nong Hoi but slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Black Mountain.

 

 

NCO beat Black Mountain 3-0 but were then held to a 2-2 draw by Hua Hin City in an entertaining battle which was enjoyed by everyone in attendance. Going into the penultimate match any one of three teams could have finished top.

 

Black Mountain met Hua Hin City in a winner takes all match. Three points would have been enough for either team to finish top while a draw would have given NCO the chance to overtake both sides with a win in the final game.

 

 

It was a close and competitive contest but Hua Hin City narrowly edged it, winning 2-1 to guarantee top spot. NCO beat Nong Hoi 2-0 in the final match to secure second place while Black Mountain has to settle for third.

Are their parents senseless? I would not even run my dog this morning in Hua Hin as the air pollution is so bad. How they can subject their own children to that?
