Just got a reply from my lawyer stating that since I have a visa from a consulate (Penang) I will HAVE to leave every 90 days?

This was my initial plan anyway, normally I stay for 6-10 weeks - but now when everything closes down I will rebook and have of course NO idea when I might leave...

I will hit the 90 day limit on the 4th of May, who knows if even popping across a land border might be possible by then?

If you have a multiple entry non-b visa it only allows a 90 day stay. You have to leave the country every 90  days.

If the company you are working for can qualify for it you could apply for a one year extension of stay based upon working during the last 30 day of any of the 90 day entries from your visa.

Unless the virus outbreak gets much worse here I doubt very much that any of the neighboring countries would shutdown entries from here. Of course if it got bad in one of them you might not want to go there or could be denied entry when trying to re-enter Thailand.

Oh, to get a 1 year extension NOW would be great, I thought I had to wait until the year was up!

I´m working all days, paying taxes and so on - so would the best choice perhaps be to just do it ASAP?

Better to do any preparations now, if it gets really bad I guess...

Thanks, seems I won´t be able to meet the 2 year criteria... Started last year, the others no problem.

Guess it will be some sort of border hop then & another visa from Penang next January! ????

I have read before that there is a work around for the 2 years of tax records for start up companies.

Perhaps ask your lawyer about it.
