Yesterday's strong storm and winds in the Thai capital Bangkok and surrounding areas caused some severe damage.

Daily News reported that ten power poles came crashing down with cables in Soi Chulakasem sub-soi 18 on Ngam Wong Wan Road in Nonthaburi north west of Bangkok.

Four vehicles were damaged - a pick-up, a Honda City, a Chevrolet car and an Altis taxi.

There were no reports of injuries.

Me thinks there are a tad too many cables on those poles.

I was thinking the same thing, one pole in the photo looks like it was seriously overloaded.
