I will check with them asap. Fingers crossed that they will.????

Thanks for the replies, Ubonjoe. By the way, Savannakhet is being talked about a lot today. Any news on HCMC? That would have been Plan B, but not sure if they're in lockdown in Vietnam and what the Thai Consulate in HCMC are doing.

Entry to Vietnam is the problem now. No visa exempts, visas on arrival and no e-visas.

What did you have to have to be able to extend for 30 days after your extended 30 days?

I only made one 30 day extension but today I went to a Visa Agent Office who “guaranteed” me a 90 day extension for 29k baht. Paid in cash, I’m uneasy about it but they say it’s all taken care of, I don’t even have to go to the immigration office which appears to be a breeding ground for covid at the moment.

To answer your question, I had the choice to obtain a letter from the American Embassy. I emailed them and received a response with the letter attached within a few hours. I’m told this letter will allow an addition 15 day extension with the option to revisit immigration for another 15 days. I prefer to avoid the immigration office at all costs.

I will provide an update on my $1000 / 90 day extension in a couple weeks once the visa or the scam is complete. Stay safe everyone.

Some of us have plenty of time. Others have plenty of money.  Apparently you are in the latter group.  Congrats!
$333/month, about $11/day to avoid the hassle of waiting in line and filling out forms. Worth it to have 3 months of breathing room with all this mess.  Do they hold your passport for two weeks? Or you come back in with it to get your stamp?

I figured that not having to make 3 visa runs (once every 30 days) would offset the expense of the visa agent... assuming they are really able to accomplish the 90 day extension.

I left my passport with them, another aspect I am uneasy about. They sent me an update yesterday saying my passport was with immigration now.
