Hi Thanks for the update.

When you say opposite Central, do you mean the other side of the highway ?

Thanks

Yep... Cross the foot bridge, then walk past all the motorcycle taxis. The entrance to the building is on the right side.

It is on the left side when you drive into Bangkok before the Avana Hotel ?

(sorry I live in the countryside and am not so familiar with Bangkok.... but it seems very close to the new airport and therefore very easy for me)

I have also heard of a new immigration office inside the Novotel at the airport. Anybody used their services for retirement extensions ?

Yes it's on the same side as Avana hotel, but directly across from Central Bangna. I don't know about Novotel.

FYI , the Office is closed now and the operation will continue at the Novotel Hotel next to Suvabhumi Airport.

That's good news, meaning you can get extensions and re-entry at the Novotel ? Would be very easy !

Anybody can confirm that this office is operational in the Novotel ?

Many posters have reported using this office over the past few months.

Can i re-open this topic. Where exactly is this office and can they do everything that immigration at suan plu can do? And if its at the novotel suvarnabhumi would it be a samut prakarn office, and would that have any consequence?

It is not a Samut Prakarn office , it's part of the Airport Immigration.

Located in the lobby of the Novotel , when enter from the Airport, it's on the ride side.

Staff of Novotel is very helpfull pointing you in the right direction.

Actually it's only a counter where you can do basic immigration issues (amendments, extensions, etc).

As far as I know you can not apply for change of status over there.

This has to be done by Suan Plu or any other provincial Immigration Office.

That's worth knowing. i live close to the airport. I've been to the novotel suvarnabhumi hotel once - for dinner, brilliant bufffet they do - but being evening i didn't spot anything like a immigration office.

i'll swing by there and have look some time. cheers.

do they proceed 1 year extension ?

According to at least one report they do - but would welcome any input to confirm or rebut that.

anyway, I take no risk to go there and check by myself.....Will do so, and let you TV Members know about it !

Thanks Lopburi3

Entering the hotel through the front doors, walk down the left side of the lobby, turn in to the corridor just before the Thai Airways office and there is the "Suvarnabhumi Airport Immigration Checkpoint" desk, tel: 021311096, open Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 am. Exactly what services they do wasn't clear as it was closed when i swung by but give them a call.
