webfact Posted March 18, 2020 Share Posted March 18, 2020 Covid-19: Buriram railway station conducts cleaning and screening of arrivals Daily News went to Buriram station to see what measures were in place on the first day that authorities initiated a partial lockdown of the north eastern Thai province. The measures enacted by governor Thatchakorn Hatthathayakul are the first such provincial measures in Thailand. At the station there was temperature screening of arrivals and a deep cleaning had been undertaken. Those running temperatures or with suspect travel histories were being questioned by health staff. Station master Banjong said it was not a question of people being forbidden to enter Buriram. People could still visit from other provinces but measures were in place to ensure the virus does not spread to the province.
