A mate went and tried to book a Visa Run from Pattaya to Cambodia today, and was told that they are no longer accepting bookings, and are now refunding all bookings that they have previously taken.

 

I am really sceptical .... anyone done one recently or are due to one this week?

As far as I know all border crossing to Cambodia are open.

This is the only restriction for entry to there.

1. Passengers arriving from France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Spain or USA are not allowed to enter Cambodia.
- This does not apply to nationals and residents of Cambodia."

I heard last week from someone that he had no problem going to the border, apart from they were checking your temperature before you could come back into Thailand.

 

So, was surprised at what my mate told me, which was at the usual suspect in Soi 6.

 

Guessing there is going to be money to be made off extensions now.

I suspect visa run companies are cancelling runs because they do not want to run vans with only three customers.

It already has been like that this winter.

 

If you booked one, it was with the understanding that the van would not go unless there was at least 3 passengers, and there could be a chance your booking would be moved to another company.

That's what happened to me on Tuesday. I went in to book a Pattaya Cambodia run. 

 

Ended up leaving with them organizing my OA one year extension. 

 

I don't think she was lying about them not being available as I checked the day after at another agency and they said they were not doing Visa runs to Cambodia on an Australian passport.
