Tayaout
I'm thinking about doing an extension of stay. I read that I don't need to wait 2 months after my 400K deposit if applying as a parent of a Thai child. Is that true? I'm also married to the mother before he was born if this matter. What are the required documents? Thanks! Edited March 19, 2020 by Tayaout
ubonjoe
The written rules do not state the 400k baht has to be in the bank for any amount of time but some odd office may want it to be in the bank for 2 months. I married to a your child's mother some offices may inist you do it based upon marriage. Best to check with your local office. The required documents vary from one office ot the other. The requirements are almost the same as for marriage except that some offices want a letter from child's school if they are of school age and photo you and your child together. You will likely need your marriage certificate to prove you are the legal father of you child. Change marriage certificate to birth certificate in my list for marriage and the photos to your child instead of wife on my general list for marriage.
