I have a query if you are on a non o retirement extension and wanting to return to Thailand from Australia as the new rules stand now would in need to have any medical insurance to covid-19 on entry back to Thailand via air

Yes. Also you require medical stating you have tested negative for covid-19

The visa/extension is irrelevant; the requirement is for ALL foreigners to have that cover

good luck getting insurance for that. its a defacto travel ban.
