Idris Elba Says Coronavirus Pandemic Is World Responding To Being 'Damaged' By Human Race

Idris Elba has said he believes the coronavirus pandemic is the world's response to being 'damaged' by the human race.

 

The actor, who recently revealed he tested positive for the virus, was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey via FaceTime and was asked about his thoughts on the outbreak of the novel coronavirus - which has currently killed more than 14,000 people globally.

 

"One of the upsides of this whole drama is that we are forced to think together as a race," Elba said, joined by wife Sabrina Dhowre, who also tested positive for coronavirus.

 

"Our world has been taking a kicking. We have damaged our world and it's no surprise that our world is reacting to the human race."

In a  convoluted sense of reactive comment and  perhaps  some  lingering  neurological distraction as  a  "survivor" it is  perhaps true.

Not as  some specific versus accidental possibility of the existence of a contagion that impacts on the  human species but in the  fact that  humanity  has disrupted almost every  vestige  of the global environment in a way negative  to what would  otherwise  be  natural change to the point  as a species we are so proliferate  in  number we  have  become a "natural" target  for some  degree of decimation.

Even so this  current contagion has  demonstrated ( in terms  of proclaimed  concern  for humanity in total)  a cruel emphasis of  morbid reduction of the very same component of  our  current  status as a species that in terms of  our  also  very specific  ideology of "wealth" being the measure of success  well in excess of  actual need as individuals and  erroneously extended to encompass  nations that component has become a drain on the core interest inveigled into the selfish dominant modern society ! 

Pause a moment..... and ask how much concern in presented  media is there  any  concern about "lesser" nations in the potential impact of Covid-19?  Who is even at all aware of other diseases rampant in such  countries that  do  not  possess any realist protection ?

Covid-19  could well wipe out or  reduce the "unproductive" element of  humanity in economic terms.

In social terms of individuals and families a temporary trauma.

Politically and economically  a  bonus?

Prior to this global event which has basically put the  globe into an economic vacuam for the interim we are  fed  the promises  of financial security we were  facing the advent and threat  of  AI.

In consideration of  how we all surface from this  unprecedented deprivation of normality in daily life dictated by those we "trust" so much as  elected guardians of humanitarian interest I suggest be on alert!

When an iconic building  was  damaged  by  fire multi  rich people stepped up to offer vast sums to  restore a symbol of naive compliance.

Have  they  now done so in same manner ? Perhaps  some  have but the  fact they have has  been  buried  under the  focus of more  newsworthy announcements of  impending  doom.

To be personally  honest I think we are  going to get what we  have stupidly allowed  to  happen if  not  almost asked  for!

I agree, though Mother Nature is always trying to kill and cull us. Its simply an aspect of Natural Selection and the Gaia Principle. But, given the destruction to Earth that we have wreaked and continue to wreak, She is ramping it up a gear. And this is only the beginning. The best is yet to come!

I would tend to agree with him.  Humanity is a blight on the planet that continues to destroy more of its host every year.  Think that the virus analogy is very appropriate ... humanity being the virus and all that is happening: COVID, uncontrollable fires, locust infestations etc as the earth’s antibodies fighting back.  One day the earth will find a vaccine.  When that day arrives there will not be many of us left to trouble the earth.

Nature provided a virus and human made it work. I believe there are dark forces at work.

About every year we have a new virus and this one is working great for now.

I red, normally this virus wouldnt cross over to humans, as it is in animals. Same as HIV.

SO are there dark forces working? There are a lot of crazy Ivans on this world to think like that and work it out.

Some scientist on tv said , it couldnt be, as we arent that advanced to do so?! Arent we?
