Tarteso
While in Chanthaburi, Police tells to the owner of restaurant yesterday that can be open with no more than 10 costumers. I can name one extremely well known, high end, restaurant that is open for normal service as we speak. Though I live in Phuket, I have several friends with restaurant businesses in Pattaya. They have been forcibly closed apart from delivery/take away service. Because a business chooses to ignore directives to close in their own selfish interest doesn't make it any less deplorable, whether that be in Pattaya, Phuket, or anywhere else. They are not doing anybody any favours for sure. It may also be that the restaurant you're referring to is in a hotel, in which case they are allowed to remain open, but serving hotel resident guests only. No it's a standalone restaurant owned by a Brit. However his wife came round a few minutes ago and said that he has been ordered to close on the 26th, which he will do. Not going to offer a take out service as it's fine dining and wouldn't be appropriate.

I personally put them in the same category of those who strip supdrmarket shelves and deprive others.

He didn't ignore anything was visited by local authorities and told to space the tables out further and not to serve alcohol, which he did. Revisited today and told to close on the 26th, which he will. Don't know any true restaurants that were initially ordered to close, just stop serving alcohol. New orders today. A constantly moving situation Danny, and one I'm sure you will agree has been open to interpretation by the local authorities. However, from social media postings from those affected, both Phuket and Pattaya appear to be consistent in their response.
