Still alot cheaper than using one of the high street banks though.

      When you use TransferWise to make the transfer you will only pay a relatively small service fee for their service (they use the mid-exchange rate which is the actual and best possible exchange rate).

      The fee will go up if the amount you send goes up. If using TW you will receive more money in the end compared to using a normal bank to bank transfer, and you don't pay any receiving fee to your Thai

      Assuming Immigration insists on seeing proof of an international transfer (ask your local office first as not all do):   If your transfer goes to an intermediary Thai bank and then forwarded
