March 26, 20206 yr Maybe just a coincidence ... ?! .... but is the latest 'emergency rule' enactment also involving the 'single gateway'? This morning I was incorporating a new router and found that, even though it gave far superior WiFi results over the ISP's unit, I couldn't access many of my streaming providers. When I enabled my VPN they immediately returned. Just wondering ......... Edited March 26, 20206 yr by Caspersfriend
March 26, 20206 yr Might not just be a Thailand thing. There has been issues elsewhere. Facebook and YouTube recently announced they were reducing video quality in order to relieve demand on internet infrastructure. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/23/coronavirus-facebook-to-reduce-video-streaming-quality-in-europe.html

In Germany Netflix, Youtube and maybe others have voluntarily limited video quality. Also (online) gamers are under pressure. Not the time for 4k/UDH streaming. Not the time for 100 GB(!) game software updates. On the other hand the traffic increase is still limited at the biggest German exchange (DE-CIX), about 10%. But new all time peak traffic there with 9.134 TBit/s (9134 GBit/s). Edited March 26, 20206 yr by KhunBENQ
