Visa Messing About!

My wife and I are just about over the edge! Drove down to Phuket on Sunday to return on Monday. We have a house in Bangkok and Phuket and just figured we would try the Phuket office for that one year extension based on marriage, we had all the documents needed, Photos, Tabien Bann, Tax documents with higher then 40 000 baht monthly, marriage certificate, copy of visa, Thai ID etc. etc. The immigration officer just simply looked at us looked in my passport and then got up went over to his officer in charge and said" Kee Moo....I understand Thai and we just ignored what they said to see what transpired. This is what he said to the senior officer..." this couple his lying and this is farang being supported by a Thai.."

Not confronting them they later said we cannot do here in Phuket because you have business in Bangkok. We asked if there was anyway and he said impossible. We got up and said OK thank you and then gave a very polite Thai wai. He did not even say thank you bye or wai or even try to make face contact. I was appalled.

This is disgusting behavior...Now I know they have their fare share of hard cases everyday but they should still be polite, and that they were not!

We will go into Bangkok ASAP and get this done without any hassles, my question is how do I lodge a complaint about this. We had intended to stay a few weeks in Phuket maybe a month but I had to turn around and drive back to Bangkok. Before suggesting that anyone is a lier should they not look at the papers that were handed over. We are good citizens here and contribute a lot to the Thai society. My wife who is well educated, comes from highly respected family in Bangkok was treated like a low class citizen.

I don't want to let this rest and just mai pen rai....
