Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha announced that as of April 3, the entire country will be under curfew from 10pm to 4am until further notice. This means nobody, with the exception of medical workers, patients and a few others, will be allowed to leave their homes. Popular Post anterian
Is it assumed then that medical workers, patients and a few others are all car owners and won't need taxis?

No, it´s assumed that if they work together they can also plan to ride together during difficult times. Then it´s only assumed that half of them need to have a transport. Would you be able to believe that?

How is he going to apply this new decree? At night, all the cats are gray and especially never a police officer will put the nose outside for fear of the ghosts and other bizarre animals . I'm curious to see what's really going to happen; Will they really stop line bus drivers who will not respect this decree? or as usual, will they close their eyes as they pass? Bangkok Barry
Nice to know we are only in danger of catching the virus between 10pm and 4am. That's a relief to all those who go about their business during the other 18 hours.
ParkerN
Heh. Prayuth making his bid for beloved person of the year... I really don't know about this guy. I always thought a lobotomy would leave a scar - you know, like Frankenstein's monster

No argument there... but my bad dream has lasted for years - since 2005 in fact, when I still thought Thai motorists flashing their headlights meant 'after you...' Grumpy John
Don't worry about medical staff. All hospital campuses have accommodation for those who need it. And most police stations have a barracks building nearby for police use. Meanwhile at your local bus depot the drivers are sleeping in a hammock slung in the luggage compartment under the bus...and bathe/wash their clothes in the public toilet.

Would you be able to believe that? Let's hope that we don't have many people finding out they suddenly have serious difficulty breathing during the night. There are not enough ambulances to deal with that. 2
