cooked 6248
Anybody tried this? After 6 months cultivation of 20 bushes, harvesting, cleaning and baking the nuts, I find that they taste DISGUSTING. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plukenetia_volubilis I am going to put them through the blender this morning but still suspect that the taste will not improve when added to food. djayz 8530
Mrs Djayz grew them for a few years here in Korat. I didn't mind eating them (well baked), but I wouldn't be nuts about them (pun intended). IF I understood her correctly, some of the villagers bought the nut shells which they used to make tea with... Apparently the nuts are worth a few bob. Yes my wife makes tea also, don't know what it's supposed to be good for.
