April 5, 20206 yr So far, I think Thailand is doing as good a job as most other countries. Which is surprising considering how many people put Thailand down and think of it as 'third world'...Their virus/death #'s are low BUT even if you multiply them by 10X or 20X, they still would have decent numbers. I think the high temperature and high humidity is helping to reduce the virus here.
April 5, 20206 yr Buses start at 4am? So how do the staff gett to the bus station before the curfew lifts at 4am? Nothing on exceptions for bus drivers.

The USA, the richest and technologically advanced country in the world, now leads the world in reported cases and deaths. People are still congregating in churches without masks. The CDC has finally decided mask will help mitigate the spread of Covid-19. The USA has 5 times the population of Thailand with an infection rate of 30-40 times that of Thailand. Coved-19 has hit the west and east coast of the USA the hardest. Now it is spreading inland and infecting much of middle America. Yep, can’t complain about how the Thais are handling the outbreak.
April 6, 20206 yr The US has handled this situation poorly but if you look at the numbers per capita it isn't really worse than a lot of places. Certainly not worse than Europe. https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/total-covid-deaths-per-million https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/daily-covid-deaths-3-day-average https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/full-list-daily-covid-19-tests-per-million-people https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/full-list-total-tests-for-covid-19 It will get worse though. I am not sure if all this country vs country is all that productive. We are all lying in the beds that we have made.
