change non-pe to retirement

in 2 months my 6th year of my thai elite visa will be finished does anyone

know if it can be changed to retirement visa inside thailand? i was planning on just

go somewhere and return with visa on arrival and change that to retirement but that obviously isnt an option.

Only tourist and visa exempt entries can be changed to a 90 day non immigrant visa (category O) entry. You could inquire at immigration  about doing it with a PE visa since it is considered as being equal to a tourist visa.

You cannot apply for an extension of stay based upon retirement with a PE visa since it is not a non immigrant visa.

ok thanks i will have to see what immigration says closer to the date, and maybe by than i will be able to just do a border hop to get 30days and convert that
