Visa based on Burmese worker

Featured Replies

Hello!

Have a question I can't seem to find an answer too.

Is it possible to get a visa (in UK passport) for Thailand based on a relationship with a Myanmar citizen who is working in Thailand?

We are both currently in our own countries, but having a child together. I am wondering, for the future, if it is possible for me to get a longer visa based on him working or if I would need to find another way eg work / education visa.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Thanks in advance!

If you were to get married and he is working legally you could get an extension of stay for being a member of his family.

If not you would have to work out a way to stay here such as you mentioned.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Do you mean an extension of stay based on a tourist visa? Do you know how long that could give me?

Thanks again!!

To apply for the extension for being a being a member of his family you would need a non-o visa to apply and it would be valid for one year or when his permit to stay ends.
