Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesperson for the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, said on Wednesday (April 8 ) that 32 Thais who were stranded in Japan will arrive in Bangkok at 3.30pm.

“The government has taken measures to deal with them,” he said, adding that the authorities can handle up to 200 arrivals per day.

He also said that the authorities have prepared sites to hold arrivals in 14-day quarantine.

hoping that none escapes when arriving at the airport ...

Plane to Buses and direct to Quarantine, no ifs and no buts !

So they will be part of the 200 allowed in that day?

This is good to know. Stuck in the airport like they were had to be extremely stressful. The Japanese should have been more accommodating in that situation.

Perhaps have these 32 sign a document acknowledging that they will be put into quarantine upon landing?  The 150+ who did a runner last time all claimed nobody told them about the quarantine!
