Extending A 12 Mth Extension For Another 12 Mnths

My 12 months extension to non imm b (the first) is ends of the 27th May.

How soon can I "apply" for a further 12 months, is it 30 days before?

I've completed around 6 extensions. I've applied from anywhere between 30 days before, to a couple of days before the due date. Appears to make no difference.
