Wire transfers outside of thailand

Featured Replies

asking anyone here who has a thai company and with experience of dealing with banks

i own an online e-commerce business

it requires me to make large transfers of about 150k-200k a month to a usa bank.

i do that under an offshore company i own

things changed a bit that might require me to look for alternative option

i currently own a thai company as well but its mostly just to keep my legality here and have a work permit in place , just in case.

Im thinking of moving a part of the business under my thai company, which will require me to have a foreign currency account here(USD), my only concern is the issue that until now whenever i had to do a wire transfer i had to actually go to the bank and fill a form to do it.

for personal transfer i dont really mind since they are not that often, but business transactions will be much more of a headache.

is there any bank here that allow wire transfers to be made through online banking ?

i currently have accounts with BBL,KASIKORN,KRUNGSRI,LHBANK.

managed to get a hold of krungsri on the phone and was told its not possible, not sure yet about the rest.

Not for business purposes, as far as I know. This is because you have to submit a copy of the foreign invoice that needs to be paid (and the usual company documents*), and a company director or authorised signatory needs to sign and stamp the transfer documentation.

Happy to be corrected though.

* If a non-Thai person is providing their ID and signing on behalf of the company then certain banks might require a copy of their work permit aswell.
