People whose application for the government’s cash handout scheme was rejected during the screening process will be able to submit additional evidence to show that they are affected by Covid-19 situation.

Minister of Finance secretary Thanakorn Wangboonkongchan said on Friday that the campaign had already disbursed the first lot of Bt5,000 handouts to 1.4 million registrants via the website www.เราไม่ทิ้งกัน.com (we do not leave anyone behind).

“From April 10 onwards, those who failed the eligibility screening process can submit additional evidence to prove that they fit the criteria,” he said. “The system will send out SMS or emails to those who need to provide additional evidence to verify their eligibility.”

Thanakorn added that this option will be available only to registrants whose status is shown as "Require additional evidences". The registration status can be checked on the website.

The campaign is offering eligible citizens whose livelihoods were impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak Bt5,000 a month for three months. To be eligible, candidates must be Thai nationals, aged over 18, be self-employed, freelancers or non-permanent employees who are not insured under social security.

They might want to rethink that one, given that reportedly many millions were in fact, left behind at the first round. Going to need a startling improvement on approval numbers to be able to even begin to suggest that.

Many I know we're turned down but of those only one was wrongly turned down but with a little supportive evidence she was successful.

The others already get the government hand outs Dole or social security as such and where therefore ineligible anyway. But they chanced there arm

You are in the minority then. Many deserving Thais were turned down with bogus reasons such as invalid ID or invalid name. No opportunity to submit supportive documents, and no opportunity to reregister.

These are people who were affected, now have no income, and definitely were not receiving any other government hand outs.

Anyone who wasn't cheated by this scheme should count themselves lucky.

Beauty salon owner: farmer

Manual therapist: farmer

80 year old mother in law : farmer

And so on. Everybody (apart from my wife) we know has been rejected as being a farmer.

Good news actually because the cash handouts for farmers seem to be much higher, where can they register?
