April 12, 20206 yr Reading through the various visa threads, it seems there is a lot of different facts and opinions on who falls under the automatic extensions, who needs to apply for extensions at local immigration etc. Why not have a sticky post that breaks down the various scenarios for the visa on arrival tourists, the tourist visa tourists, those on Non O visas and Non O extensions , Those on retirement visas and extensions etc. This should help clear the clutter and leave the individual threads for unusual circumstances. For myself, I am on a Non O which expires next month. I am pretty sure I am covered under the automatic extensions of 30 days, but I've read that I need to apply for 60 day extension also.
April 12, 20206 yr Popular Post Oddly enough, (almost) nobody reads stickies. It's been tried in the past and has zero effect upon the umber of members asking the same questions and stickies take up space on the first page (and members moan about that too). Also, the stickies need to be maintained and with the rapid changes and "differences" between the various immigration offices it was decided that it was just too much work. Of course, if you are volunteering ... "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
April 12, 20206 yr It's the same for every type of entry (except border passes, but i guess not many users here on Thaivisa are from the neighbouring countries): If you had a valid permission to stay until at least 26th March you are automatically extended to stay until 30th April (this might be extended in the future). https://immigration.go.th/content/visa_auto_extension There seems to be some confusing among some IOs at CW, but i guess this will get sorted out over the next week: h
