60 days extension possible?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have entered Thailand by a 30 day visa excempt and extended it by another 30 days at Immigration.

Extension is valid until 20th of May. I am german and have a thai wife and a thai kid.

So is it possible to extend this further of another 60 days at Immigration based on marriage

without leaving the country.(which is anyway not possible right now).

Thanks in advance.

Yes it’s possible.

Yes its everything to do with money 1900Baht. I've got to the 29th April then what do I do. I'm hoping Malaysia boarders are open then and Thai trains are running to the south.

Hi Gandhi,

Yes, if you are married to a thai national, it is indeed possible to extend your presently already extended permission to stay by applying for a 60-day extension for reason of marriage.

HOWEVER, be aware that it is not necessary to do so as you are eligible for the automatic extension till 30 April and which will for sure be prolonged.

You can stay until the 30th when the current emergency decree ends but the will certainly be extending it for longer.

I assume you are aware of the ministerial order issued that allows people to stay in the country without needing another extension.
