The Thailand Meteorological Department said on Saturday (April 25) that a rather strong high-pressure system covers the lower North, the Northeast, the Central and the East regions as well as the South China Sea.

Hot to very hot conditions are forecast for the upper country. Summer storms are likely with thunderstorms, gusty winds, lightning and hail in some areas of the North.

The strong easterly winds blowing over the Gulf and the South are expected to bring more rain with isolated heavy rain and gusty winds in the areas.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:

Northern region: Hot to very hot weather with thundershowers, gusty winds and hail in 40 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 22-26 degrees and highs of 36-40 degrees Celsius.

Northeastern region: Thundershowers in 40 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 22-24 degrees and highs of 32-36 degrees Celsius.

Central region: Hot conditions with thundershowers and gusty winds in 40 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 23-25 degrees, highs of 35-39 degrees Celsius.

Eastern region: Thundershowers and gusty winds in 30 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 22-24 degrees, highs of 32-36 degrees Celsius; waves a metre high and two metres high during thundershowers.

Southern region (east coast): Thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas with isolated heavy rains and gusty winds; temperature lows of 22-24 degrees, highs of 32-35 degrees Celsius; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres high during thundershowers.

Southern region (west coast): Thundershowers in 60 per cent of the areas with isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-25 degrees, highs of 32-37 degree Celsius; waves a metre high and two metres high during thundershowers.

Bangkok and surrounding areas: Hot conditions with thundershowers and gusty winds in 30 per cent of the areas; temperature lows of 24-25 degrees, highs of 32-37 degrees Celsius.

Still waiting for the thunderstorms forecast for most of the last week.

Rain woke me about 3am.  At the 3 sites I record rainfall: 20mm in the village,  20mm at orchard #1 and 15mm at orchard #2. The orchards are 5km apart as the crow flies and the closest to the village is 3km.

They keep saying Thunder storms for the North, and they never come,

last week there was a sunny shower for about 5 mins.that's it.

One good thing came from the high wind we had in Cha Am the other night.

A large tree was uprooted and crashed onto the roof of a bar near my place.

Yesterday the owners came and started taking all their junk away

1 annoying Thai bar down, their is a God after all :jap::jap:

The storm finally arrived, very high wind, hail and rain, but it was over

in 15 minutes,that was it.

regards worgeordie????

We had some rain yesterday outside Udon, not a lot but has cooled everything off for a while, it's a full 10°c cooler today than yesterday! ????

I think they said before the chance was 10 percent, and you lost out. Now it's 40 percent so it might get soggy. Dust off your brolly, but if it's windy be careful that you don't do a Mary Poppins.

It finally arrived ,and it was blowing very hard, heavy rain and hailstones.....then it stopped,

and the electric went off,as it always does when it rains or wind blows, was off about an hour.
