The rest of 171 Thais stranded in India will arrive at Don Mueang International Airport at 3.10pm on Saturday (April 25) on an Air Asia flight from Kolkata after the first batch of returnees touched down on Friday (April 24) afternoon.

The group comprises monks and staff from Thai temples in Kolkata and Buddhists who were on a pilgrimage in India.

All returnees must go through screening procedures and test for Covid-19 at the airport, and later will be transported to specified facilities to complete the mandatory 14-day quarantine. All monks are scheduled to be quarantined at H2do Residence in Samut Prakarn while the others will stay at Rattanakosin Hotel in Bangkok.

As of Saturday (April 25), India had 23,452 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 723 deaths and 4,814 persons had recovered.

They're Thai.

Maybe that monk from the UFO who's still on the run also comes back? I haven't heard about him for some years now but i bet Prayuth is still hurt that he escaped.

Apparently the airport is not closed to inbound flights.

Why Did the Monks go on a Pilgrimage ? Didn't All people got the Message, Be Safe Stay Healthy STAY HOME. Or are the Monks Not included ??

The airports have never been closed to repatriation flights.

Why do you ask that?

A post with a slur against a group of people was removed along with reply to it and ensuing flamefest

Pilgrimages tend to be more than your typical ten day trip to Pattaya.

Highly likely these people have been away for a while and were caught out like this, as most of the world has.
