Preacher
This tread is not meant for discussion. Just post addresses of animal shelters, veterinarians and animal hospitals here. Thank You! Before you take action on a stray animal: If an animal is hurt or in danger, call straight away. Otherwise if you see a kitten or puppy make sure the mother isn’t just hunting for food. Maybe check in a few hours. Also note that a lot of stray animals don’t have a real owner but are taken care of by people in the neighborhood and more or less belong to the community. So try to ask around first if the animal is taken care of. Not every street animal does need being rescued. All these organizations are totally dependent on donations for their existence. Consider a donation. If you are looking for a cat or dog, you can adopt one through them. The animals are vaccinated and neuterd/speyed. Be a solution to the problem, don’t add to it: adopt don’t shop. Temporarily in town but still want a dog or cat? Shelters are also looking for people who will foster an animal for a couple of months. For cat and dog haters it is god to know that these organizations aim to eradicate stray animals. They do that with TNR programs, which are at the hearth of their activities. It means Trap Neuter and Release, so they can’t have any off spring. Animals you can adopt through them are also neutered. Bangkok Animal shelters Often they will also help people who can’t afford to pay for a veterinarian for their sick animal. https://www.facebook.com/pawsbangkok/ Cats only PAWS Bangkok mission is to save street cats and provide medical care to them. If you see an injured or abandoned cat that is in trouble you can call them and they will try to rescue it and provide medical care or even take it to a veterinarian. https://www.facebook.com/Pickapet4HomeBangkok Mostly Thai site where you can adopt dogs and cats. https://www.facebook.com/ThailandAdopterClub Mostly Thai site where you can adopt cats and dogs from all over Thailand. I don’t have a list of reliable veterinarians and animal hospitals. But organizations as PAWS can help you find a good one. If you have good experience with a good vet, list contact in a post below. I do know that the following comes highly recommended: Eastern Bangkok Veterinary Surgical Center AKA Parichart Suminthawong Animal Hospital https://www.psahospital.com
