Driving license renewal/extension restarts from May 7, 2020

The DLT (Department of Land Transport, "motor vehicle office") was closed for driving license extension for about a month.

From May 7, 2020 on they will start to do extensions.

No applications accepted for doing new license from scratch.

 

Appointments suggested via a "Smartqueue App".

Don't know whether it works in English/for foreigners.

If you are affected maybe best to check with your DLT office.

Another quick turn.

They now found that not all offices are prepared for social distancing.

So driving license services are suspended again until May 31 (for now).

So you are safe from prosecution or insurance denial in case of expired license.
