Variety has reported that Cage will star in the scripted series based on the events shown in the hugely popular Netflix drama. It's Cage's first ever appearance in a television series. The eight part show, which is to be made by Imagine Television Studios and CBS, is reported to be focusing on exploring how the (admittedly only relatively) normal Joe Schreibvogel became the outlandish and - ultimately - incarcerated Joe Exotic.
