Sure. Bomb Oman. I mean, why the hell not. I think what Americans are discovering is that they have no mechanism for dismissing a grossly incompetent president, if that person has somehow managed to cow the Supreme Court and the legislature. There are elections this fall, but with Trump’s personal lawyer now heading the Justice Department, the stage is set for him to nullify those elections and increase his personal power. The US system, as it turns out, is designed to facilitate dictatorship. Of course, there’s always the (slim) possibility that an ad hoc “deep state” will form (military, intelligence, some courts, some politicians) and toss out the whole lot of them by force, then administer the country and try to fix things until proper elections can be called. First order of business: remove all money from politics. At this point, I honestly think that most of the country would support this, despite the violence it would entail.
