After "openings" wait 2-3 weeks and if then everything seems to be still fine then you can talk about "positive signs" not before,,

The openings are the "positive signs" already. No need to add scaremongering.

Nevertheless what the poster to whom you responded says is quite correct.

The strategy in my country (Australia) is to re-open in stages and observe the results.

These may be a little obscure at first as we are heading into our traditional cold and 'flu season.

The only way of dealing with this is to let it run it's course. It's not going to finish the human race off, but the economic crashes all over the world will put everything put to the dark ages.

A bit of perspective, an estimated total of 70–85 million people perished in world war 2 and 50 million deaths from Spanish flu. People have lost the plot with this virus, the social distancing and pettiness of rules for 278,000 dead out of 7.8 billion.

I would rather not have football if it's in empty stadiums.

One of the take aways from the countries who typically have  seasonal flu surges in the northern spring is that it did not occur this year. It looks like the preventative measures of social distancing and emphasis on handwashing really squashed seasonal flu and common cold infections.  If Australia continues its prevention measures of  hand washing and physical distancing in public areas, it should have a good seasonal flu outcome.
