Bryan Adams apologises after 'bat eating' coronavirus rant

The Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams has apologised after an outburst on Instagram where he attacked “bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards” in China for the source of the coronavirus outbreak.

 

The 60-year-old shared an expletive-filled post on Instagram, lamenting how his planned performances in London had been postponed due to the health crisis.

 

He wrote: “Tonight was supposed to be the beginning of a tenancy of gigs at the royalalberthall, but thanks to some fucking bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards, the whole world is now on hold, not to mention the thousands that have suffered or died from this virus.

 

“My message to them other than ‘thanks a fucking lot’ is go vegan.”

Why apologise ? Not much of what he said is untrue.

He has nothing to apologise for, apart from perhaps pushing veganism.

Buttholes have suspended imports of meat in aus cleary because they got a taste for bat, rats and dogs now. Now they are threatening to do away with raw materials like iron ore from aus. Omg i hope so!! Means less crappy things im forced to buy from china.

As a Canadian, I've been waiting for Bryan Adams to apologize for decades for the bloody awful middle-of-the-road pap he purports to be music. I'll not read the text or watch the video of this and will instead simply assume that's what he's apologizing for and we'll call it square. Fair enough Bryan. Now <deleted>. And please stop singing.

Most European countries have received threats from Huawei if they did not install their 5G equipment. Huawei said that if they were rejected many other Chinese companies would take their business elsewhere.

All countries should openly reveal these Chinese threats, and join an embargo that would finally give them some "humble-pie".
