I don't know how complicated/ simple it goes. Here's my situation:

I came to Thailand to study in May 2005, with a Non-Immigrant ED visa, I have extended my visa a few times, and it is going to expire by the end of Apr 2007 (it was a one year extension I got last time).

Luckily I got a job here, and my company has assisted me to secure a work permit, which is also good until the end of Apr.

Unfortunately though, the HR person who takes care of my visa/working permit has just left the company and I have become an orphan in the realm of visa/working permit application. This is a small company and people here doesn't have knowledge of the process. The new HR will start working next week, but I think I need to take precaution -- i.e. to know exactly what I need to save time, and not to disrupt my stay in Thailand because I intend to stay here for a long time.

I assume that I should do my visa extension before dealing with my working permit, and all to be finished before the end of April (is that right?) . Can anyone tell me the list of documents I need for this extension (since I have changed to a student status to working status) ? It used to be very simple when I studied in the university, but when I read information on this forum, it notes 'a set of documents similar to that for the application of working permit' is required? What are these documents?

Thanks very much for your help in advance.

* Suddenly a question dawn on me and I start panicking -- since I previously had a 'ED' visa, do I need to return to Hong Kong (I'm from HK) to apply for my "Non- B" visa? -- I hope not!
