They are two separate issues but the sex toy one is a no brainer. Banning sex toys is obviously rooted in misogyny as most local men can't compete with those reliable and large phalluses.

the women need basic protections including options of re schooling and leaving this soul destroying way of making a living..

Some prefer it over normal work.

Do the sex workers even want it legal?

That's an honest question.

Sex work already seems quasi legal here anyway.

It's a cash business. Obviously no taxes.

It's not uncommon in Pattaya to hear of police being called in to settle disputes with non-paying customers.

So what's the big advantage to legalization?

Not only women but I'm assuming the people behind the bans are men and they don't like competing with the toys.

providing care to the workers for one, like health checks and security at the work site..

Morality laws can't stand the test of time.  Anyway, they do not stop the activities they claim to sanction, they simply drive it underground.  Next up, try legalizing being able to buy a beer between 2pm and 5pm.  What silly-a$$ rules for a country which claims it's a prime tourist hot-spot.

Your doing it wrong if you cannot buy a beer between 2pm and 5pm.

The biggest problem is that the mothers do not raise their sons properly.

They treat them as little angels and they never hear the word no.

So because they do not have money to go visit the local kareoke they can go out and rape someone?

And the first thing the family does is to protect the accused rapist and blame the girl(regardless her age)

There are a few cases in the news.

No i do not think castration or imprisonment are the answer.
