The Sounds of Anomie-Kyoto. Can Music Inspire Hate?

Featured Replies

One of the biggest problems caused by modernity has been the social condition known as anomie where people are adrift without purpose.

Obviously, such a condition can lead to horrific consequences to society. Mass murderers and political extremists can both be traced to those who are totally detached from normalcy.

This song recently popped into my feed in a criminal justice group I belong to. I wont get into the circumstances as they are too revolting, but suffice it to say that the lyrics and artist were an "anthem" .

The song is called Kyoto. Kyle is the name of the artist

"Time to disappear
I should be thin air
I look so much better that way
I'll be fine next year
I said that last year
Where, it's still a fight against myself
To crack that smile, I heard it helps
I feel cold, we're still in June
Frozen still, still, still it's hard to move"

Clearly, the foregoing is a classic paen to self loathing and anomie. I know that Helter Skelter inspired Manson, i wonder how many others have been inspired by song

I find singing the Horst Wessel song whilst showering gets me ready for my day - then into my lederhosen with my Gott mit Uns leather belt buckle and sharp Hugo Boss blackshirt - and then off to forum work I go getting ready for the Second Coming.

@Yagoda You do know the lyrics you just made an example of doesn´t make sense, right?

Thanks for acknowledging that. I remember that you previously mentioned you had a disability, so that will probably be the reason for your reading incompetence.

You see what I did there I got into your head and imagined what you think I do - that said Horst Wessel is a catchy tune. I'll chalk that one up to the devil. But as a Stalinis/Maoist/Campist Tankie I want my death in many millions more to slate my non-existent commie soul.

I didn't mention any of that, I just reminded you about your disabilities you acknowledged, and with the above post you again provided evidence about your reading incapabilities, as you strayed complete off-topic to what was in my post.
