Are you not doing your TM30s on-line?

Anyway, if UdonThani IO does not require them for your extension of stay there is indeed no need to do them.

But obviously this won't be the case in all IOs, so better check beforehand whether it is still being enforced at the IO you are reporting to.

Why do you need to do annually extensions, if the Elite Visa is valid five years?

Forgive me if I get anything wrong and/or am not informed well enough, but actually I thought that exactly one of the benefits of an Elite Visa is to be free of the annual extension for the time it is valid.

As I understand it, if you stay in Thailand for 12 months without leaving the country, you still have to apply for an extension, even if you have an Elite visa. Pre China virus, I’d guess that most Elite visa holders based in Thailand would have trips outside the country at least once a year anyway, but that might not be possible now.

Just to be on the safe side I am doing the TM30 online however I did read on some previous Posts that Chang Wattana did not accept the Screenshot receipt from the TM30 App which is just amazing.

The only reason I would ever need to go to Chang Wattana would be to transfer my PE Visa to a new Passport however when that time comes in 2024 I will leave Thailand a day before my PE Visa expires with both old and new Passports and get a new PE Visa put in my new Passport at Suvarnabhumi Airport when I return some days later.

Before I do the above I would get my new Passport and then apply for a 20 year Thai Elite Membership as at present I only have the 5 year Membership.

The PE Visa is valid for 5 years however each time one travels outside Thailand you get a 1 year extension if you cannot travel outside Thailand like now then you have to go to Immigration in your home area to get a 1 year extension.
