EEC Office secretary-general Kanit Sangsubhan

The Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office will propose that the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) consider allowing groups of foreign business operators to visit EEC provinces, EEC Office secretary-general Kanit Sangsubhan said.

The office will propose that the visitors undergo Covid-19 tests in their own country, and again upon arrival in Thailand. They will also be required to purchase medical insurance covering treatment for Covid-19 as well as undergo a 14-day quarantine at “alternative” places in the EEC.

CCSA spokesperson Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin had announced earlier on Monday (June 22) that the government has resolved to allow seven groups of foreigners to enter the country, including permanent residents, those married to Thais, skilled labourers and investors.

The Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee also met on Monday to discuss the possible relaxation of lockdown measures to allow businesspersons related to EEC investment to enter the zone.

Business organization and chambers of commerce from some Asian countries have asked Thailand to relax lockdown measures and allow them entry for business purposes.

Who has the biggest lobby to make it to the list?

No Business person is going to tie up 14 days of their hectic schedule on a Quarantine, no matter where it may be.

How stupid and ignorant
