Denying the reality by burying it into the argument of  cause does  nothing to alter the reality. Sad  factor is that those perpetuating the denial will die of old age before they  need witness o

Indeed it is on Reuters. Literally every story they produce is baiting and inaccurate. It's becoming embarrassing.

You can blame WHO for a lot of things, but not this. For that matter, you may be able to blame the WMO for lots of things but not this. This one is on Reuters.

 - or are they ignoring 'mountains' of evidence that the Arctic is really a frozen ocean?

Usual propaganda and misinformation to try and help their point of view. I assume that they think showing bare rock is some sort of proof of warming- RUBBISH. Around McMurdo Station and along the Ross Island coast there was loads of bare rock and open water at that time of year back in the 70s and earlier.

The very fact that they showed the wrong photo, and  boring one at that, and then accurately labeled it as showing Antarctica, would to any rational thinker that it was obviously a screw-up.  If they wanted to be "alarmist:, they could do what Fox News did and feature an AP article that shows an actual satellite photo taken on June 23 that shows fires raging in the Arctic. Those damned lefties at Fox.

The Arctic is on fire: Siberian heat wave alarms scientists

"The Arctic is feverish and on fire — at least parts of it are. And that has scientists worried about what it means for the rest of the world.

The thermometer hit a likely record of 38 degrees Celsius (100.4 degrees Fahrenheit) in the Russian Arctic town of Verkhoyansk on Saturday, a temperature that would be a fever for a person — but this is Siberia, known for being frozen. unprecedented for the region north of the Arctic Circle...

“The Arctic is figuratively and literally on fire — it’s warming much faster than we thought it would in response to rising levels of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and this warming is leading to a rapid meltdown and increase in wildfires,” University of Michigan environmental school dean Jonathan Overpeck, a climate scientist, said in an email."

The world is ending in 10 years, so who cares?

And that tired silly lie about climate predictions surfaces again.

You're right. It's 10 1/2 years.

But that picture, while wrong, is hardly alarming.. Not much drama there. Here's a legitimate arctic photo that they could have chosen:

Smoke and flames from active fires burning across Sibera can be seen on this satellite imagery from June 21.

It comes from those lefties at an organization called Fox News.

Wildfires rage across Siberia as Russia sees extraordinary heat, temperature of 100 F degrees in Arctic town

So what?

And she's an authority on climatology?

No. Why do you ask? Oh but just to cover the bases, Al Gore made a similar dire prediction in 2006. We're still here. Wonder why people don't take leftists seriously?

Well if I look like your avatar I would not care either

It's hard to pin the climate extremists down on the specific date for doomsday.  10 / 20 / 30 years is most popular at the moment.

If I said the world will end in 10 / 20 / 30 weeks at most then you'd assume I'm completely barking.  But turn weeks into years and people are gullible enough to swallow it.

Shouldn't the Maldives have been underwater about 10 years  ago also?

Yes, it was predicted that half the planet will be under water 10 years ago but the goalposts move on a daily basis.

Or at the very least, buying some farm land. Now if only we can get CO2 concentration to over 1,000 ppm, then we'll REALLY have some great conditions for plant life to flourish like it did during the Cretaceous period. And obviously, an abundance of health plant life means an abundance of healthy animals.

Do you think it sensible to start growing grapes in the UK home counties?

That's another ruse that's been perpetuated for at least the past twenty years in the UK.
