Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha today thanked China for donating a batch of medical equipment to fight the Covid-19 outbreak in Thailand.

“The prime minister thanked representatives of the Chinese government for maintaining positive relationship with Thailand especially during the pandemic situation,” said government spokesperson Narumon Pinyosinwat, after a meeting between Prayut and Yang Xin, charge d’affaires and acting Chinese ambassador, at Government House. She added that Prayut expressed his condolences to Chinese people suffering from recent floods in China, but remained confident that the Chinese government will handle the crisis efficiently.

“The charge d'affaires admired Thai government’s effort in controlling the spread of Covid-19, resulting in no reports of new domestic cases in the last 30 days, and said that China is happy to promote business relations with Thailand, which is now China’s 12th-largest trade partner, especially in fruit exports, industrial investment and tourism,” Narumon added.

The medical supplies donated by China include 1.3 million surgical face masks, 70,000 N95 face masks, 150,000 Covid-19 test kits and 70,000 PPE suits.

So for about 34 days asymptomatic carriers have been spreading the virus exclusively to others who turned out to be asymptomatic and never did any of the  "many" give it to a person who showed symptoms. Amazing.

Amazing what SD and mask wearing can accomplish isn't it, 1000's of lives could have been saved in the west with these simple actions. The very low IR's will rise as guards are let down guaranteed, hell, examples are found all over the world..

As long as China doesn't "donate" any virus-riddled tourists to us then fine.

Generous gesture, after contaminating the world. What about paying some hundreds of billions of $ for all the unployed due to their ( Chinese ) virus ?

Thailand, in turn, should donate those items to America—assuming they’re high quality.  With 30-odd days of no Wuhan virus, clearly Thailand has no need of them.

Looks like Xi also donated his codpiece for the general to strap on his chops ????

I think we should rename Prayut to Mr Hoover with his extraordinary ability to suck up to China.

He didn't dare mention the possibility that the eleven dams the Chinese have built before the Mekhong leaves China might be a factor - as well as causing problems for every country downstream?

Recently there has been an outbreak of a new Corona Virus, previously unknown from a Wet Market in Beijing, there are several further outbreaks all over the Country of the existing Covid19 Virus, and today there has been a discovery of a new Flu Virus among Pigs.

All from China

There is something seriously wrong in China, where so much disease can be emitted from one Nation.

The whole Country should be Quarantined by the rest of the World until it cleans up its act
